On the 24th of June 2012, in conjunction with the school's event, 'E-Thon', the Leos of SMK Damansara Jaya have carried out a flash mob in the school's parking lot!
The purpose of this flash mob was to raise our current society's awareness about the importance of taking care of our environment.
As parents were also invited to the mentioned school event, it was the perfect day to carry out the project as there was going to be a huge crowd. Before the event, all the committee members had attended dance rehearsals.
On the day of the event, at approximately 7.45 a.m., all the committee members assembled in school to rehearse the whole dance routine for a couple of times before performing at the parking lot.
We were all set by 9.15 a.m.. Leo Tee Ke Hui was then proceeded to make an announcement to gather all the people present at the parking lot and the flash mob started straight after.
The dance was splendid and people were joining in, even our one of our teacher advisor, Pn.Ng Yoke Chan and our school cheerleaders, Dynamitez.
Later on, we also gave our FREE recyclable bags to further support the objective of this project. The project was a success as we successfully expressed the importance of taking care of the environment through the flash mob.
It was a memorable experience as we were able to relate importance of taking care of the environment to the society through actions.
